Catalog accompanying the exhibition Freeze, curated by Damien Hirst (who was then still a student at Goldsmiths College), which was on view in the London Docklands in July 1988. This small exhibition is credited with launching the Young British Artists phenomena; Nicolas Serota visited and collector Charles Saatchi came to the show and bought a piece by Mat Collishaw—the first YBA piece in his soon-to-be vast holdings of works by Hirst, et al. Exhibited artists included: Collishaw, Hirst, Gary Hume, Sarah Lucas, Simon Patterson, Fiona Rae, etc.
