Extensive catalog accompanying the exhibition Global Feminisms, curated by Maura Rielly and Linda Nochlin, which debuted at the Brooklyn Museum of Art (23.03–01.07.2007) (it subsequently toured). Billed as the first international exhibition of feminist art from 1990 to the present, the exhibition showed the work of ca. eighty female artists working in all media, and sought to expressly move beyond western feminism to a consideration of feminist and art practice on a global scale. Exhibited artists included: Anna Baumgart, Tania Brugera, Catherine Opie, Sam Taylor-Wood, Kara Walker, etc.
