Catalog accompanying the exhibition of a selection of works from the official collection of Germany (founded in 1970 as the collection of West Germany, it has the aim of documenting the country’s artistic production; after 1990 it became unified Germany’s collection). The exhibition took place in the Kunst- und Austellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Bonn (11.4.–31.08.2008), which is itself an interesting remnant of Germany’s divided post-War history, and was organized around three thematic issues ‘Existence,’ ‘Space,’ and ‘History.’ Exhibited artists included: Isa Genzken, Rebecca Horn, Katharina Sieverding, Gerhard Richter, Wolfgang Tillmans, etc.
